Prevenative / Periodontal Therapy

Dentistry’s primary goal should be to preserve healthy natural teeth and oral soft tissue. Our office places a strong emphasis on prevention. Whether it is teaching how to properly clean teeth, limit foods, snacks, and habits that promote damage, or screening for gum disease and oral cancer, we are continually encouraging our patients. In addition, there are many preventive products available today that can help protect and even restore teeth when correctly used.
Periodontal (gum) disease seriously affects 15-25% of the population. Moreover, new research clearly demonstrates a linkage between oral health and other medical conditions, e.g. heart disease and diabetes. This makes it all the more essential to incorporate regular dental care into your routine.
Our office has established new diagnostic procedures into our patient examinations in order to identify gum disease early, when it can be treated effectively and economically.
